Lovato served as the opening act in the Jonas Brothers Burning Up Tour from June to August. The tour was filmed into a concert movie and was released on February 27, 2009. Lovato was featured in the film performing with Joe Jonas in "This Is Me".

On September 23, 2008, Lovato released her debut album Don't Forget. The album's first single, "Get Back", was released on August 12, 2008. On April 15, 2008, it was announced that Lovato was going on tour to promote her up-coming album.[14] The tour began on June 21 in Hartford, Connecticut and ended on Aug. 24 in Manchester, New Hampshire.
